5. Election of Vice Chair:Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) members will nominate and vote to elect a vice-chair of the MPO. 
6. Functional Classification Designation Updates: Following the finalization of the 2020 Urbanized Area boundaries for Barnstable County, staff reviewed the functional classification designations for roadways affected by the updated boundaries and identified additional roadways for which updated designations are warranted. Staff will review, and Committee members will consider public comments on and may vote to approve, the updates to these designations.
7. Critical Urban and Rural Freight Corridor Designation Updates: Staff will review the National Highway Freight Program and designated critical urban and rural freight corridors on Cape Cod. Staff will review, and Committee members will consider public comments on and may vote to approve, updates to these corridor designations.
8. Calendar Year 2026 Safety Performance Measure Targets​: Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Staff will describe, and the Committee may vote to adopt, statewide MassDOT safety performance targets related to the number and rate of motorist and non-motorist fatalities and serious injuries on Cape Cod for calendar year 2026.
9. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1– September 30) 2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Development: Staff will review draft TIP project evaluation scoring and lead a discussion on the status and readiness of current and future TIP-eligible projects. Committee members may ask questions and provide feedback on project evaluation. The TIP summarizes the regionally significant transportation infrastructure projects receiving federal funding for construction over the next five years.
10. Federal Fiscal Year (October 1 – September 30) 2027 Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”) Development: Staffwill provide an overview of the development of the 2027 UPWP which summarizes all significant transportation planning activities for fiscal year 2027 on Cape Cod. Committee members may ask questions and suggest potential tasks and studies for inclusion in the 2027 UPWP.
11. Regional Overhead Flashing Intersection Control Beacon Inventory: Staff will present on the recently completed Overhead Flashing Intersection Control Beacon project which inventoried 18 locations on Cape Cod that currently have this infrastructure in place. Overhead flashing intersection control beacons may be found at intersections where traffic or physical conditions do not justify conventional traffic control signals.
12. Reports: MassDOT staff will discuss the status of the Transportation Improvement Program projects that are planned in the next five years. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority staff will report on the status of current and future projects and initiatives to improve public transportation services on Cape Cod. Cape Cod Commission staff will report on upcoming public meetings and available grants.
