The Public Participation Plan (PPP) sets up the process by which the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) solicits public involvement and cooperative decision-making as part of the transportation planning process. The MPO strives to share information and collect ideas through public meetings and other strategies in order to improve the planning process and the Cape Cod transportation system.
The Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization voted on March 20, 2017, to endorse the amended Public Participation Plan. The endorsed plan can be obtained from the link below:

Public Comment Opportunity - Public Participation Plan 2022 Update
The draft Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization Public Participation Plan (PPP) 2022 Update (Organizaçāo de Planejamento Metropolitano do Cape Cod Plano de Participaçāo Pública - Rascunho 2022) was released for a public review and comment period on May 23, 2022. The CC MPO may vote to endorse the 2022 PPP Update at its meeting scheduled for Monday, September 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Meeting details will be available at www.capecodcommission.org/mpo
The PPP is updated every five years. It guides the MPO in its public participation efforts to offer early, continuous, and meaningful opportunities for the public to take part in an inclusive and equitable transportation planning and decision process. It provides a toolbox of techniques to achieve effective participation, reach underrepresented and underserved populations, and comply with non-discrimination measures included in Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Development of the Regional Transportation Plan, Transportation Improvement Program, Unified Planning Work Program, and corridor and area plans all utilize the PPP in their engagement and outreach.
