Note: The meeting will be held virtually, with members of the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization participating remotely, pursuant to Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021, An Act Relative to Extending Certain Covid-19 Measures Adopted During the State of Emergency as amended.

  3. Potential approval of prior meeting minutes: July 18, 2022
  4. Public Comment
  5. Public Participation Plan Update: Cape Cod Commission staff will review, and Committee members will consider public comments on and may vote to endorse, draft Public Participation Plan update, which incorporates requirements from the US Department of Transportation. The draft Plan with proposed amendments may be viewed at https://www.capecodcommission.org/mpo.
  6. Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure Deployment Plan: Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) staff will present an overview of the recently released state’s EV Infrastructure Deployment Plan that may be viewed at https://www.mass.gov/massdot-nevi-plan.
  7. 2024 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) Development: Staff will present an overview of the current (2020) RTP and an outline of the development process for the 2024 RTP.  Committee members may discuss the 2024 RTP development.
  8. Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant Program: Staff will update the Committee on an effort to submit a Regional Safety Action Plan grant application as part of the US Department of Transportation SS4A program. 
  9. Reports: MassDOT staff will discuss the status of the Cape Cod Canal Area Transportation Improvement Program and Transportation Improvement Program projects. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  10. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
