AGENDA: Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization

Note: The meeting will be held virtually, with members of the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization participating remotely, pursuant to Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021, An Act Relative to Extending Certain Covid-19 Measures Adopted During the State of Emergency, signed into law on June 16, 2021.

  3. Potential approval of prior meeting minutes: November 15, 2021
  4. Public Comment
  5. Election of Vice Chair: Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) members will nominate and vote to elect a vice-chair of the MPO. 
  6. Calendar Year 2022 Safety Performance Measure Targets​: Staff will describe, and the members may vote to adopt statewide Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) safety performance targets for calendar year 2022.
  7. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 – September 30) 2022-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Amendment #1:Staff will describe, and the members may vote to release for public comment, draft Amendment #1 to the TIP which would add approximately $530,000 for the purchase of additional vehicles for Dial-A-Ride Transportation (DART).
  8. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 September 30) 2023-2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Development: Staff will review projects in the 2022-2026 TIP and lead a discussion on the status and readiness of these projects. Staff will also present projects that are eligible for fiscal year 2027 TIP funding. Project readiness discussions will help inform the development of the 2023-2027 TIP.
  9. Federal Fiscal Year (October 1– September 30) 2023 Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”) Development: Staff will describe the process for developing the 2023 UPWP. Members may ask questions and suggest potential tasks and studies for inclusion in the 2023 UPWP.
  10. Reports: MassDOT staff will discuss the status of the Cape Cod Canal Area Transportation Improvement Program and Transportation Improvement Program projects. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  11. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
