AGENDA: Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization

Note: The meeting will be held by remote participation by the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization pursuant to Massachusetts Governor Charles D. Baker’s Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law dated March 12, 2020.

  4. Public Comment: The chair will provide instructions on how members of the public can indicate an interest in speaking and will call on members of the public wishing to speak.
  5. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 – September 30) 2020-2024 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Amendment #3: Staff will describe comments received, and the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)may vote to adopt, draft Amendment #3 which would adjust funding in the TIP for the Bourne Belmont Circle Traffic and Multi-modal Improvement project and the Orleans Stormwater Improvements along Route 28 project.
  6. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 – September 30) 2020-2024 TIP Amendment #4: Staff will describe, and the MPO may vote to release for public comment draft Amendment #4 which would allow the Steamship Authority to expend Ferry Boat Formula Grant funding.
  7. TIP Project Updates: Massachusetts Department of Transportation (“MassDOT”) staff will provide updates on the status of 2020-2024 and potential future TIP projects.
  8. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 – September 30) 2021-2025 TIP Development: Staff will describe, and the MPO may vote to release for public comment a draft 2021-2025 TIP.
  9. Federal Fiscal Year 2021 (October 1, 2020 – September 30, 2021) Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”) Development: Staff will describe, and the MPO may vote to release for public comment a draft 2021 UPWP.
  10. Buzzards Bay Commuter Rail Study: MassDOT staff will describe an upcoming study that will look at the potential for commuter rail service from Boston to Buzzards Bay.
  11. Reports: MassDOT, Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority, and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  12. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
