AGENDA: Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee

 

Note: The meeting will be held virtually, with all members of the Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee participating remotely, pursuant to Massachusetts Governor Charles D. Baker’s Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law dated March 12, 2020.  

Members of the public can join the meeting using one of the following methods:   

Meeting materials may be accessed at www.capecodcommission.org/jtc. It is recommended that phone participants access materials in advance of the meeting. Please join the virtual meeting at least fifteen minutes before the start of the meeting and call (508) 362-3828 if you have any issues joining.

  3. Potential approval of prior meeting minutes: May 8, 2020
  4. Public Comment
  5. Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee Officers and Bicycle Representative: Members will discuss and potentially vote whether to extend the terms of the current Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Bicycle Representative, and Bicycle Representative Alternate through December 31, 2020 due to the existing COVID-19 State of Emergency.
  6. Cape Cod Bicycle Rack Program: Staffwill provide an update on the status of the 2020 Cape Cod Bicycle Rack Program, a program that covers the purchase of bicycle racks and other bicycle infrastructure for municipalities and other eligible entities on Cape Cod.
  7. Cape Cod Traffic Counting Program: Staff will provide an update on the status of the summer 2020 traffic counting season.
  8. Bay State Bike Month: Staff will provide an update on Bay State Bike Month, a statewide recognition of bicycling in the Commonwealth.
  9. Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Project Readiness Milestones: Staff will describe TIP development milestones and new readiness criteria that could be considered for projects to be programmed on the TIP.
  10. Reports: MassDOT, Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority, and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  11. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
