  5. Update on Transportation Plans Available for Public Comment: Staff will present, and the Committee may vote to recommend the Metropolitan Planning Organization endorse, the following draft plans that are currently out for public comment and are available at capecodcommission.org/mpo 
    • Federal Fiscal Year (October 1 – September 30) 2027 Unified Planning Work Program (contains significant transportation planning activities planned on Cape Cod)
    • Federal Fiscal Year 2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program (contains regionally significant transportation infrastructure projects planned on Cape Cod)
  6. Federal Fiscal Years 2026-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Amendment #3: Staff will present, and the Committee may vote to recommend the Metropolitan Planning Organization endorse, a draft amendment to the 2026-2030 TIP. Amendment #3 would program the Barnstable Route 132 Park and Ride Expansion project in Federal Fiscal Year 2026, provide funding for the replacement of fifteen vehicles through the State’s Mobility Assistance Program, and provide funding for various Steamship Authority projects including, the Woods Hole Terminal Amenities Project, parking lot improvements, Hyannis terminal improvements, a bus replacement, and purchase of rescue boats.
  7. Massachusetts Department of Transportation (“MassDOT”) Vulnerable Roadway User Project: MassDOT staff will provide an update on their statewide Vulnerable Roadway User project that identifies safety improvements near high priority bus stops and includes locations in the Cape Cod region that are currently under design.
  8. Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Design Fund Guidance: MassDOT staff will provide an overview on the guidelines for using federal funds on the design costs for TIP projects.
  9. Reports: MassDOT staff will review the status of Transportation Improvement Program projects that are under construction or planned in the next five years. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  10. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.

The public discussion of the Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) at CCJTC, MPO, and transportation meetings satisfies the Program of Projects (POP) public hearing requirements of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
