Cape Rail Study Advisory Group

  1. Introductions and Opening Remarks: Cape Cod Commission staff will introduce Advisory Group members, Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) staff, and the consultant team from Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc.
  2. Project Background: MassDOT staff will discuss the background of the Cape Rail Study, a study to evaluate the potential for extending year-round passenger rail to Cape Cod, and will be highlighting the study schedule, past studies, and existing conditions.
  3. Goals and Objectives: MassDOT staff will lead a discussion with Advisory Group members to help establish the goals and objectives of the Cape Rail study.
  4. Service Alternatives Criteria: MassDOT staff will lead a discussion with Advisory Group members on potential service variables, such as terminal locations and frequency of service, and evaluation criteria, such as estimated ridership and cost, for rail service alternatives that will be analyzed as part of this study.
  5. Next Steps: MassDOT staff will discuss the next steps of the study and involvement of the Advisory Group.
  6. Public Comment: Members of the public will have an opportunity to provide brief comments.
  7. Adjourn
