- Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee Bicycle Representative Alternate: Committee members will discuss and potentially vote to either renew the current Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee bicycle representative appointees, (Sean Polay and Rik Ahlberg, alternate) or to seek new nominees for the Bicycle Representative and Bicycle Representative Alternate to the Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee for the term July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
- Eastham Route 6 Corridor Modernization Project: Town of Eastham staff will provide an update on a corridor project that would improve safety and multi-modal accommodations on Route 6 in Eastham from Brackett Road to Nauset Road. Members may discuss this project, which is eligible for funding in the 2027–2031 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”).
- Barnstable Route 132 Corridor Improvement Project: Town of Barnstable staff will provide an update on a corridor project that would improve safety and multi-modal accommodations on Route 132 in Barnstable from Bearses Way to the Airport Rotary. Members may discuss this project, which is eligible for funding in the 2027–2031 TIP.
- Barnstable Route 6A Sidewalk Improvement Project: Massachusetts Department of Transportation (”MassDOT”) staff will provide an update on a sidewalk improvement project on Route 6A in Barnstable between Route 132 to Old Jail Lane. Members may discuss this project, which is eligible for funding in the 2027–2031 TIP.
- Federal Fiscal Years (October 1– September 30) 2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program (“TIP”) Development: Staff will provide an update on the development of the 2027-2031 TIP. Committee members may ask staff questions and vote to make a recommendation to the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization on potential projects for inclusion in the 2027-2031 TIP. The TIP summarizes the regionally significant transportation infrastructure projects receiving federal funding for construction over the next five years.
- Federal Fiscal Year (October 1 – September 30) 2027 Unified Planning Work Program (“UPWP”) Development: Staffwill provide an update on the development of the 2027 UPWP, which summarizes all significant transportation activities planned for the fiscal year on Cape Cod. Committee members may ask questions and vote to make a recommendation to the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization on potential tasks and studies for inclusion in the 2027 UPWP.
- 2026 Traffic Counting Program Overview: Staff will provide an overview presentation of transportation data collection efforts planned as part of the Summer 2026 traffic counting program on Cape Cod.
- Reports: MassDOT staff will review the status of Transportation Improvement Program projects that are under construction or planned in the next five years. Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
- New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.

Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) project updates may include updates on the following projects: Dennis/Harwich, Route 28 Reconstruction; Provincetown, Shank Painter Road Improvements; Chatham, Route 28 at Main St/Queen Anne Rd/Crowell Rd; Dennis, Route 28 Streetscape; Yarmouth, Corridor Improvements; Bourne, Route 6 Scenic Highway Median Installation; Bourne, Rail Trail – Phase 1; Harwich, Harwich Elementary School Safe Routes to School; Harwich, Bridge Preservations on Route 6; Barnstable, Route 6 Resurfacing and Related Work; Truro/Wellfleet Route 6 Resurfacing; Barnstable, Culvert Replacement Route 6A over Boat Cove Creek; Harwich Old Colony Rail Trail Modernization; Bourne, Route 28 Resurfacing; and Falmouth, Route 28 Resurfacing.
