AGENDA: Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee

Note: The meeting will be held virtually, with all members of the Cape Cod Joint Transportation Committee participating remotely, pursuant to Massachusetts Governor Charles D. Baker’s Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law dated March 12, 2020.  

Members of the public can join the meeting using one of the following methods:   

Meeting materials may be accessed at www.capecodcommission.org/jtc. It is recommended that phone participants access materials in advance of the meeting. Please join the virtual meeting at least fifteen minutes before the start of the meeting and call (508) 362-3828 if you have any issues joining.

  5. Federal Fiscal Year (October 1 September 30) 2022Unified Planning Work Program(UPWP) Development: Staffwill provide an update on the 2021 UPWP and describe the process for developing the 2022 UPWP. Joint Transportation Committee members may ask questions and provide suggestions of potential tasks and studies for inclusion in the 2022 UPWP.
  6. Route 28 West Dennis Project:Town of Dennis staffwill provide an update on a corridor project that would improve multi-modal accommodation on Route 28 in Dennis from Uncle Barneys Road to Old Main Street. Thisproject is eligible for fundinginthe 2022-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
  7. Route 28 Harwich Sidewalk Project:Town of Harwich staffwill provide an overview on a project that would involve the installation of a sidewalk on Route 28 in Harwich from Bank Street to Saquatucket Harbor. Thisproject is eligible for fundinginthe 2022-2026 TIP.
  8. Federal Fiscal Years (October 1 September 30) 2022-2026 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Development: Staff will review projects that are newly eligible for the TIP and review draft project evaluation scoring. Joint Transportation Committee members may ask questions and provide feedback on project evaluation.
  9. Reports: Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority, and Cape Cod Commission staff will report on recent and upcoming transportation initiatives across Cape Cod.
  10. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
