AGENDA: Cape Cod Commission

Note: The meeting will be held virtually, with all members of the Cape Cod Commission participating remotely, pursuant to Massachusetts Governor Charles D. Baker’s Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law dated March 12, 2020.

 AGENDA

  1. Attendance/ Roll Call
  2. History of the Cape Cod Commission: Kristy Senatori, Executive Director, will discuss the creation of the Cape Cod Commission, a brief review of its 30-year history, and its major accomplishments. Stacie Smith, Managing Director at the Consensus Building Institute, will facilitate Commission member questions and discussion on the topics presented by the Executive Director.
  3. Regional Challenges: Kristy Senatori, Executive Director, and Cape Cod Commission staff will discuss past and present regional challenges, how the Cape Cod Commission has addressed those challenges, as well as future anticipated challenges. Dorothy Savarese, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Cape Cod Five, Dan Wolf, former State Senator and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cape Air, and Curt Spalding, former Region 1 Administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency and Professor of the Practice of Environment and Society at Brown University, will reflect on the history and evolution of the Cape Cod Commission and its role in addressing challenges that impact Cape Cod. Stacie Smith, Managing Director at the Consensus Building Institute, will facilitate Commission member questions and discussion on the topics raised by the speakers.

Cape Cod Commission Act: Kristy Senatori, Executive Director, will review and discuss the Cape Cod Commission Act.  Paul Niedzwiecki, former Executive Director of the Cape Cod Commission, will reflect on the Cape Cod Commission Act and its role in guiding the Cape Cod Commission. Stacie Smith, Managing Director at the Consensus Building Institute, will facilitate Commission member questions and discussion on the topics raised by the speakers.
