AGENDA: Barnstable County Coastal Management Committee

 

The meeting will be held by remote participation by the Barnstable County Coastal Management Committee pursuant to Massachusetts Governor Charles D. Baker’s Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law dated March 12, 2020.

  3. Review and approval of prior meeting minutes: July 22, 2020
  4. Cape Cod Commission staff updates: Heather McElroy, Natural Resources Program Manager, Cape Cod Commission, will provide updates on coastal resiliency grants applied for and received, including progress made on the Coastal Resiliency Bylaw Project.
  5. Barnstable County Coastal Resources Subcommittee update: Shannon Hulst, Deputy Director, Cape Cod Cooperative Extension will review the discussion and activities of the Barnstable County Coastal Resources Subcommittee, including a report on its October 21, 2020 meeting.
  6. Barnstable County Dredging Program update: Ken Cirillo, Barnstable County Dredge Manager, will provide an update on Barnstable County’s dredging program including his recommendations on the membership of a Barnstable County Dredge Subcommittee for the Committee’s consideration.
  7. Committee Discussion and possible vote to forward a list of recommended members for a Barnstable County Dredging Subcommittee to the Barnstable County Commissioners for appointment.
  8. Harbor Study: Jen Clinton, Community Development Planner, Cape Cod Commission, will review the results of the Harbor Management Study, a collaborative project between the Cape Cod Commission and Urban Harbors Institute/UMass Boston, to get a better understanding of the economic value of regional harbors.
  9. Cape Cod Cooperative Extension Marine Program: Harriet Booth, Marine Specialist at the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension, will give an overview of their marine program.
  10. Reports from members: Members will provide updates on relevant projects and activities and discuss current coastal management issues affecting Cape Cod
  11. New Business: Topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair more than 48 hours before the meeting.
  12. Next Meeting: Committee members will discuss the schedule and agenda for their next meeting.
  13. Adjourn
