ACTIVE PROJECTS

CONVENTION DATA SERVICES, TECHNOLOGY PARK DRIVE, BOURNE

The project proposes to redevelop a site with a 27,210 sq ft building to serve as Convention Data Service’s new headquarters.  The project triggers mandatory DRI review.  Upon review of the applicant’s DRI scoping application, staff drafted a DRI Scoping decision recommending that the project not require further DRI review.  The CPR voted to recommend this scoping decision to the full Commission at its meeting on 9/29/16.  The full Commission will hear the project and consider the draft decision at its 10/13/16 meeting.

HERRING RIVER RESTORATION PROJECT, TOWNS OF WELLFLEET AND TRURO

The project proposes to restore habitat in and return tidal flow to the 1,100 acre Herring River estuary system.  The Secretary of EOEA issued a Certificate on the project’s Final Environmental Impact Report on 7/15/16; a hearing officer for the Commission opened the DRI hearing period for the project on 8/29/16.  A DRI application for the project has not yet been received by the Commission.

CANAL UNIT 3 GENERATING UNIT, NRG, CANAL PLANT, TUPPER ROAD, SANDWICH

The project proposes a new, fast-start, high efficiency back-up generating unit at the existing Canal plant.  The Secretary of EOEA issued a Certificate on the project’s Final Environmental Impact Report on 8/26/16; a hearing officer for the Commission opened the DRI hearing period for the project on 10/7/16.  The project is also subject to the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth’s Energy Facilities Siting Board.  A substantive DRI hearing on the project, to be held by a Commission hearing officer, is tentatively scheduled for 11/2/16, 5 PM, at Cape Cod Commission offices.

CAPE CROSSING COMMERCIAL SUBDIVISION, RTE. 130, SANDWICH (FORESTDALE)

The project is a commercial subdivision proposing 7 building lots on approximately 18 acres of land.  The Sandwich Building Commissioner referred the project to the Commission as a mandatory DRI on 9/9/16; a hearing officer for the Commission opened the DRI hearing period for the project on 8/29/16.  A DRI application for the project has not yet been received by the Commission.

CAPE CLUB REDEVELOPMENT (FORMER BALLYMEADE COUNTRY CLUB), RTE. 151, FALMOUTH

The project proposes redevelopment of a portion of the site with mixed use development (commercial accommodations and single family residential units). The town referred the project to the Commission as a mandatory DRI on 7/20/16; a hearing officer for the Commission opened the DRI hearing period for the project on 9/16/16.  A DRI application has been submitted but has not yet been deemed complete sufficient to proceed to substantive DRI review and hearing.

OLD FALMOUTH ROAD SOLAR, OLD FALMOUTH ROAD, BARNSTABLE (MARSTONS MILLS)

The project triggers mandatory DRI review, and proposes to redevelop a 37 acre site currently used for solid waste disposal and recycling with a ground mounted solar array.  The applicant has submitted a DRI scoping application requesting to limit the scope of RPP issue areas involved in further DRI review for the project, which is under review by staff.

GREENSIDE OFFICE PARK REDEVELOPMENT, 10 ATTUCKS LANE, HYANNIS

The project proposes to redevelop a site currently used for trucking purposes with a two building office park. The applicant has submitted a DRI scoping application requesting to limit the scope of RPP issue areas involved in further DRI review for the project, which is under review by staff.

MASHPEE CWMP, TOWN OF MASHPEE

The Secretary of EOEA issued a Certificate on the project’s Final Environmental Impact Report in late 2015; the Commission opened the DRI hearing period for the project on 7/14/15.  The DRI hearing period on the plan has been extended to 11/18/16.

VILLAGES AT BARNSTABLE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT, COMMUNICATION WAY, HYANNIS

Application materials have been submitted requesting minor modification to the project’s Development Agreement approved by the Commission in 2011.  When the application is complete, the CPR will take up the request at a public meeting.  The project involves phased, age-restricted residential development.
