Regional Policy Plan Update: Painting a different tomorrow

LINK: http://capecodcommission.org/et

Stakeholders in the Regional Policy Plan Update will have until Sept. 30 to submit scenarios through Envision Tomorrow, an on-line land-use planning tool.

Through Envision Tomorrow, or ET, the Commission is seeking help from stakeholders and Cape residents to identify land use opportunities at community and regional levels.

In partnership with tool developer Fregonese Associates, the Commission is using ET to explore the effects of land use decisions on Cape Cod. The tool allows users to examine how changes in the type of development may affect economic, environmental and social factors. The tool will assist in updating the RPP by providing the Cape Cod Commission with feedback about users’ land use and growth preferences.

ET was introduced during the June RPP meetings and made available to stakeholders in July. An on-line tutorial and help section are built into the tool to ease use.

Envision Tomorrow will remain open for scenarios through the end of September.  Stakeholders and the public will be able to check-in with the Commission in early September during the next round of stakeholder meetings.

Live technical support from Commission staff is available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
