After nearly a year of research, data collection, collaboration and engagement, the Cape Cod Regional Housing Strategy is nearing completion.

Cape Cod communities are receiving significant funding to support housing, wastewater, and economic development projects through the Commonwealth's OneStop for Growth grant program.

The Cape Cod Commission is employing new technology to provide a broader picture of pedestrian and bicycle use of our roadways and shared-use paths.

The first year of the new Cape Cod Regional Pond Monitoring Program concludes this month.

Cape Cod is increasingly vulnerable to the effects of sea level rise and storm surge and must prepare for the impact of more frequent and stronger storms. This month, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Ed Markey, and Representative Bill Keating released a report detailing the urgent need to replace the Bourne and Sagamore bridges. Entitled “Cape Cod Bridges Replacement: An Urgent Need,” the report includes data and information from thirty-six local stakeholders, including the Cape Cod Commission, highlighting the critical regional importance of the bridges.

The Commission is currently conducting a regional broadband assessment, offering municipal digital equity planning, and coordinating with the statewide digital equity plan.   

Bringing underrepresented histories to light has become a top priority in historic preservation in recent years and in work to improve equity and build strong communities.
