Hazardous Waste

Through the Cape Cod Commission's Regional Policy Plan (RPP), goals and policies are established to prohibit activities that contaminate the water supply, and to support the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and wastes in an environmentally sound manner.

Working with Cape Cod Cooperative Extension, the Commission also supports Cape towns in their efforts to dispose of hazardous waste materials. Barnstable County has negotiated a joint bid that reduces administrative expenses for each participating town.
