A hearing officer for the Cape Cod Commission will open a pro-forma hearing for procedural purposes on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cape Cod Commission, 3225 Main Street, Route 6A, Barnstable, MA. The following Development of Regional Impact (DRI) has been referred to the Cape Cod Commission under Section 13(a) of the Cape Cod Commission Act, c. 716 of the Acts of 1989, as amended, and Sections 3 and 7 of the DRI Enabling Regulations. This notice is being published as required by Section 5 of the Cape Cod Commission Act.
Project Name: Forestdale Village
Project Applicant: Pimlico Pines Realty LLC/Stephen G. Powers
Project Location: 74 & 76 Route 130, Forestdale, MA
Project Description: According to information submitted by the applicant, the project will include approximately 73,059 square feet of commercial space, 400 square feet of a wastewater treatment facility building, 9,173 square feet of residential apartments, and either a 13,000 square foot pharmacy (Option A) or a 26,000 square foot assisted living 60-bed facility (Option B) in a combination of one and two story buildings around a green.
NOTE: The purpose of this hearing will be to open a DRI hearing for procedural purposes. No presentations will be made, no testimony will be taken and no substantive action will be taken regarding this project at this hearing. At a future date the hearing process will resume. Subsequent notice will be provided.

Project Description: According to the Development Agreement Application, the project is to be built in at least three phases. The main campus is a continuing care retirement community with 340 independent/assisted living units and a 60-bed skilled nursing facility. It will encompass six interconnected buildings and provide onsite amenities including a dining facility, library, activity rooms, wood shop, spa/health club/pool, beauty salon, convenience store and bank. The project also includes an off-site affordable housing component, which involves redevelopment of the former Whitehall Manor nursing home into 42 affordable apartments.

While this meeting is not a public hearing, the public is welcome to attend.

A previously noticed public hearing for Monday, August 2, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies, Larkin Hall, 5 Holway Avenue, Provincetown, MA will now be held as a pro-forma hearing by the Cape Cod Commission.
NOTE: The purpose of the hearing on Monday, August 2, 2010 will be to continue the DRI hearing for procedural purposes by a Hearing Officer for the Cape Cod Commission. No presentations will be made, no testimony will be taken and no substantive action will be taken regarding this project at this hearing.
The public hearing will be continued to Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies, Larkin Hall, 5 Holway Avenue, Provincetown, MA at which time public testimony will be heard.
Project Name: Provincetown Waste Treatment Telecommunications Monopole
Project Applicant: T-Mobile Northeast, LLC
Project Location: Provincetown wastewater treatment plant site located at 200 Route 6, Provincetown, MA
Project Description: T-Mobile is proposing to construct a wireless telecommunications facility that will consist of a monopole structure situated within a 1,872 square foot fenced compound. Attached to the monopole will be nine panel antennas. Associated cabling will run down inside the structure to equipment cabinets located on a pre-cast concrete pad inside the compound.

The Cape Cod Commission ("Commission") will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, August 5, 2010 beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the First District Courthouse, Assembly of Delegates Chamber, Route 6A, Barnstable, MA. At this hearing the Commission will consider proposed amendments to Chapter G, Growth Incentive Zone Regulations, Barnstable County Ordinance 05-13.
Anyone wishing to testify orally will be welcome to do so. Written comments may also be submitted at the hearing, or delivered or mailed to the Cape Cod Commission, P.O. Box 226, 3225 Main Street, Barnstable, MA 02630 for receipt on or before the date of the hearing.
