The Planning department of the Cape Cod Commission prepares and implements the Cape Cod Regional Policy Plan (RPP), which establishes broad goals and specific standards for the future development of Cape Cod. The department also helps communities pursue their Local Comprehensive Plans (LCPs) and supports local and county decision makers as they pursue the establishment of specially protected areas known as Districts of Critical Planning Concern (DCPCs). The Planning department also provides a variety of specialized planning services and technical assistance to Cape Cod towns and citizens.
