BARNSTABLE COUNTY, MA -- The Barnstable County Commissioners yesterday received a six-month progress report related to the 21st Century Task Force on the Cape Cod Commission.

Delivered by Executive Director Margo Fenn on July 10, the report documents the Commission's work to implement the recommendations of the Task Force in accordance with priorities identified by the County Commissioners earlier this year. The comprehensive report outlines progress made to date and the next steps to be taken. The report is supplemented by attachments that demonstrate some of the actions taken so far.

Fenn, aided by Cape Cod Commission Senior Regulatory Planner Sharon Rooney, is scheduled to discuss the report with the County Commissioners at their public meeting at 1 p.m. on July 18, 2007 (Barnstable Superior Courthouse, Barnstable Village), and then again at the 4 p.m. public meeting of the Assembly of Delegates that same day (First District Courthouse, Barnstable Village).

The report is being distributed to county officials, Task Force committee members, and town administrators/managers. It is also available, both with and without the attachments, on the Cape Cod Commission's Web site (www.capecodcommission.org/taskforce/). The agency will also reprint the text in installments in its monthly newsletter, the REPORTER, over the next several issues.
