The Cape Cod Commission, the regional planning and regulatory agency for Barnstable County (Cape Cod), periodically has position openings in a variety of environmental, scientific, technical, and administrative fields.
Current Opportunities:
- NEW 6/18/09: Administrative Assistant: Skilled administrative and clerical work providing variable types of support to the operations of the Cape Cod Commission, requiring tact and discretion with a flexible and cooperative attitude; all other related work, as required. High school diploma with additional business or accounting training equivalent to an Associate's Degree; three years of experience in office work, with experience in financial procedures. Experience with local government practices and procedures desired. Thorough knowledge of various computer software programs. Basic knowledge of bookkeeping practices. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences including public officials and the general public. Ability to handle multiple tasks and determine priorities in fast paced office environment. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records. Ability to maintain knowledge and skill in utilizing software programs. Proficiency in the use of computer programs; strong organizational skills; strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. $35,179/yr. See complete job description.
