The Cape Cod Commission will hold a continued public hearing on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the East Wing Conference Room, Barnstable County Complex, 3195 Main Street, Barnstable, MA 02630 on the following Project. The Project is a mandatory Development of Regional Impact (DRI) pursuant to Sections 2 and 3 of the Cape Cod Commission’s Chapter A: Enabling Regulations Governing Review of Developments of Regional Impact. The Cape Cod Commission is conducting DRI review on the Project pursuant to Section 7 of said Enabling Regulations, including without limitation Subsection 7(d) therein. The Secretary of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs has issued a Certificate on the Project’s Final Environmental Impact Report under the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (EEA No. 15787), and the Project is also subject to the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth’s Energy Facilities Siting Board. At this hearing the Commission may vote whether to approve the project and adopt a written decision for the project. This notice is being published pursuant to Section 5 of the Cape Cod Commission Act.

• Project Location: Town of Barnstable, with offshore export cable landing at Covell’s Beach and onshore export cable terminus at existing substation in Independence Park, Hyannis
• Project Description: Construction and operation of the portion of the Vineyard Wind Connector Project located within Barnstable County, which Project is intended to connect to and serve the proposed approximately 800-megawatt Vineyard Wind offshore wind project. The Project includes, without limitation, offshore export cables located within Barnstable County waters; the onshore duct bank and associated onshore export cables located within and under existing rights of way; and the proposed onshore substation.
Anyone wishing to testify orally will be welcome to do so. Written comments may also be submitted at the hearing, or delivered or mailed to the Cape Cod Commission, P.O. Box 226, 3225 Main Street, Barnstable, MA 02630.
