The Cape Cod Commission will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Innovation Room, Open Cape Building, 3195 Main Street (Route 6A), Barnstable, MA. The following Development of Regional Impact (DRI) Exemption application was submitted to the Cape Cod Commission under Section 12(k) of the Cape Cod Commission Act, c. 716 of the Acts of 1989 and Section 8 of the Cape Cod Commission’s Enabling Regulations Governing Review of Developments of Regional Impact. This project is being reviewed as a DRI Exemption and at this hearing the Commission will consider approval of a DRI Exemption and adoption of a draft written decision for the project. This notice is being published as required by Section 5 of the Cape Cod Commission Act.
Project Name: Long Pond Woodlands Conservation Area
Project Applicant: Town of Brewster
Project Location: W.H. Besse Cartway & Long Pond Road (Route 137), Brewster, MA
Project Description: Proposed division of 47 acres for the purpose of conveying 42 acres to the Town of Brewster for conservation, passive recreation and wellfield protection.
Anyone wishing to testify orally will be welcome to do so. Written comments may also be submitted at the hearing, or delivered or mailed to the Cape Cod Commission, P.O. Box 226, 3225 Main Street, Barnstable, MA 02630 for receipt on or before the date of the hearing, and until the hearing on the project is closed.
