Orleans Village Center Streetscape
as presented to the
Orleans Board of Selectmen in November 2011
In 2011, the Cape Cod Commission's planning, design, and economic development staff worked with the Orleans Planning Board, Town Planner, and Village Center Subcommittee to develop and refine many concepts into a comprehensive vision for the Orleans Village Center Streetscape.
The final 68-page illustrated document includes maps and diagrams of the study area, reviews the site assessment and streetscape elements, and presents designs for the overall concept, the Depot Square area, the Main Street core, an events area, Route 6A, Route 28, and secondary areas.
The document also specifies materials (with approximate costs) and outlines recommended steps that could be pursued to implement the concepts within the plan and potential future work.
