Technical Assistance

Cape Cod Commission staff provide technical assistance on a wide variety of preservation projects, consulting with town boards and officials, historic district commissions, nonprofit organizations, neighborhood groups, and individuals. Staff has:

assisted in historic inventory projects,
conducted training programs for historic district commissions and historical commissions,
advised boards reviewing historic properties,
suggested appropriate preservation treatment for historic buildings,
assisted in writing grants for renovation work,
developed and reviewed proposed bylaws to protect historic areas, and
worked on special projects to protect threatened resources.
