The Cape Cod Commission provides a wealth of information and a wide range of technical expertise to local and regional decision makers, consultants, and the public through its Technical Services departments. Example services include:
coordination of regional transportation planning and identification of improvements that are needed
analysis of traffic along road corridors and in intersections
studies and programs to support the development and use of transportation alternatives to automobiles
mapping and spatial data analyses
creation of visual and graphical aids for conveying complex concepts or data
assisting Cape municipalities with short- and long-range studies of critical infrastructure such as water supply and wastewater management
collecting and analyzing data about the water quality of Cape Cod's ponds, lakes, embayments, and estuaries
monitoring groundwater levels across the region
providing advice and monitoring the clean up of contaminated soils and water supplies
coordinating a state-funded program to assist municipalities and the region with sustainable development and to encourage municipalities to form partnerships to achieve planning and development goals consistent with state and regional priorities
