NEARC 2008 |
The Northeast Arc Users Group will hold its 23rd Annual Conference, featuring keynote sessions,
vendor demonstrations, poster displays and over 60 technical workshops and user presentations.
The conference is expected to attract over 500 users of Geographic Information System software
including urban and regional planners, educators, natural resource and utility professionals
and government agencies that use geographic information to help with decision-making and problem
solving on a daily basis.

GIS EDUCATORS DAY: NEARC Pre-Conference |
Sponsored by the Northeast Regional Geographic Alliances and the Northeast Arc Users Group, a day for K-12 and Higher Ed GIS educators will be held as a preconference to the Northeast Arc Users Group meeting. The conference will feature published GIS textbook authors holding workshops, USGS representatives, and folks who are creating lessons and resources for educators. We have the option to sign up for these independent of the group, but there is a limit to how many people can sign up. We can also schedule these events as a private webinar for our group. Please let Anne Reynolds know in advance if you see one that may interest many people.

ESRI Lecture Series |
ESRI offered to have a technician come down to the Cape and offer an in-depth lecture on specific functionality of ArcGIS 9.2. This is slightly different from the webinar idea, as it would be offered in house and in person and potentially would be more in depth. Some ideas for this series are:
